If you have performance issues related to the
size of e-mail attachments, you can change the default settings for
services to reduce size limit of e-mail attachments.
The
maximum size of an uncompressed e-mail attachment in MB setting controls
e-mail attachment behavior. The following table shows the behavior
for each service. To allow any size of e-mail attachment, use a value
of 0.

Procedure
- Start IBM® Cognos® Connection.
- Click Launch, IBM Cognos
Administration.
- On the Configuration tab, click Dispatcher
and Services.
- Click the dispatcher you want.
- Click the set properties button of the service that you
want to configure.
- Click the Settings tab.
- To filter the settings, in the Category box,
click Tuning.
- Specify a value for the maximum size of an uncompressed
e-mail attachment in MB setting.
- Click OK.
- Click the Configuration link in
the path at the top of the page.
You return to the
list of dispatchers.
- If you have more than one dispatcher configured, perform
steps 4 to 10 for each remaining dispatcher.
- Using IBM Cognos Configuration, stop and
then restart IBM Cognos software.
